معرفی
Mats Ohlin is a Professor at the Department of Immunotechnology, Lund University, and serves as Principal Investigator at the Lund University Cancer Centre (LUCC). He co-leads the LTH Profile Area: Engineering Health and acts as Assistant Director for LU-ATMP (Lund University Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products). Additionally, he contributes to the LTH Profile Area: Food and Bio and coordinates the Infect@LU project.
Research Focus: Mats Ohlin’s work spans human monoclonal antibody technology, molecular evolution, and phage display to study antibodies in allergy, cancer, and cytomegalovirus infections. His group developed the largest human monoclonal IgE resource, defined neutralization determinants on cytomegalovirus, and engineered thermostable carbohydrate modules using X-ray and neutron crystallography.
Publication Trends: Recent studies emphasize antigen-presenting cell targeting via coiled coil platforms, non-neutralizing antibody functionality against SARS-CoV-2, and high-resolution epitope mapping using mammalian cell display. Broad disciplines include Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology, with subfields like T Cell Activation, Carbohydrate Binding, and Viral Immunity.
- 2008: Excellent Teaching Practitioner
Grants: Funded by Swedish Research Council, National Institutes of Health (USA), Mrs. Berta Kamprad's Cancer Foundation, and several private foundations. Projects include SciLifeLab Human Antibody Therapeutics Facility and OptiCAR (Chimeric Antigen Receptor development for cancer).
