Dr. Matin Pirouz Nia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Fresno State, part of the College of Science and Mathematics. As the director of the Algorithms and Big Data lab, her research focuses on data analytics, complex network analysis, and computer science education. Her work has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, Google, and Amazon, resulting in over 50 publications in top-tier journals and conferences. She has received a congressional commendation for STEM mentorship and contributes to multidisciplinary projects spanning healthcare security, social network analysis, and transportation systems.
Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
