Matija Tapuskovic is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Mathematical Institute and holds an EPSRC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. He is also a Junior Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
Education:
- BSc, MSc, DPhil
His research focuses on arithmetic algebraic geometry, motivic Galois theory, and connections between number theory and quantum field theory. Recent work explores the interplay of motives, periods, and Feynman integrals in algebraic geometry.
Key publications include studies on the cosmic Galois group and its applications to Feynman integrals (2024) and motivic Galois coaction in one-loop Feynman graphs (2021), reflecting his interdisciplinary approach bridging pure mathematics and theoretical physics.
Scientific Awards:
- EPSRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow
- Junior Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College
He contributes to teaching as a Lecturer at Corpus Christi College for courses in Linear Algebra and Number Theory, and as a Tutor/Teaching Assistant for advanced mathematical topics like Galois Theory and Modular Forms at the Mathematical Institute.
His work involves collaborations with prominent mathematicians such as Francis Brown, Clément Dupont, and Javier Fresán, advancing the theory of Mellin motives and their relationship to motivic Galois groups.
