Mathilde Le Vu is a Research Affiliate in the Anthropometrics & Historical Epidemiology Group and a PhD student in the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Program at the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on maternal and neonatal health, historical epidemiology, and the impact of pandemics and environmental factors like extreme weather on health outcomes.

Current Project: Investigating neonatal health in Lausanne (1905–1925) using birth records to assess effects of the 1918 influenza pandemic and World War I food shortages. Funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, supervised by Pr. Sabine Rohrmann and PD Dr. Kaspar Staub.
Key Research Themes: Historical public health crises, maternal-fetal health dynamics, and the long-term consequences of in utero environmental exposures.
