معرفی
Dr. Mathieu Decuyper is a researcher at the Forest Ecology and Forest Management department of Wageningen University & Research. His work focuses on tropical forest dynamics, biodiversity, and climate change impacts, using remote sensing and ground-based methods. He collaborates internationally on projects related to reforestation, species conservation, and ecosystem recovery.
- Research Interests: Tropical forests, biodiversity, remote sensing, climate change, natural regeneration, and plantation forestry.
His recent publications analyze forest recovery patterns in the Amazon, climate-driven traits of tree species, and restoration strategies in tropical ecosystems. Key subfields include satellite data applications, drought stress, and canopy stratification in eucalypt plantations.
Projects: Anthropogenic and climatic impact on temperate and tropical forests assessed by remote sensing (2015-2018), where he served as PhD candidate and principal investigator.
Datasets: He contributed to open-access datasets on Peruvian Amazon forest recovery, Ameland environmental data, and sea-buckthorn ring-width analysis.
