Mathias Hoppe is an Assistant Professor in fusion plasma physics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), affiliated with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and the Department of Electrical Engineering. Recent publications highlight his work on reduced kinetic modeling of shattered pellet injection, scrape-off losses in disruptions, and ECRH impacts on runaway beams. These studies span tokamaks such as ASDEX Upgrade, TCV, and ITER, emphasizing fluid-kinetic coupling and Bayesian optimization techniques.
