Dr. Mathias Goeckede is a Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, heading the Integration of Surface-Atmosphere Exchange Processes (IPAS) research group since 2012. His work centers on climate-relevant feedback mechanisms between Arctic ecosystems and the atmosphere, particularly focusing on permafrost carbon dynamics and greenhouse gas exchanges.
