Mathew Grey is a concurrent PhD Candidate and Master of Psychology (Sport and Exercise Psychology) student at the University of Queensland. He graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of Newcastle in 2018. His research bridges theoretical and applied contexts, focusing on elite/professional sports, and he serves as a Tutor for undergraduate Sport Psychology courses at UQ. He is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

His Honours thesis investigated the interplay between fatigue, sleep, anxiety, and performance in a professional football club. Current research explores Dr Carol Dweck's Mindset theory in elite sport contexts.
Mathew's work emphasizes translating psychological research into practical strategies for athletes, teams, and coaches, with a focus on resilience and mental health in high-pressure environments.
