Mathew Barlow, Ph.D., is a Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, part of the Kennedy College of Sciences. His research focuses on climate variability and extreme weather events, particularly droughts, floods, heatwaves, and winter weather impacts in regions like the Northeast US, Southwest Asia, and the Middle East. He has contributed over 60 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals such as Nature and Science.
