Mat Prior

Mat Prior is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Flinders University's College of Medicine and Public Health. He is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist with expertise in evidence-based clinical education and musculoskeletal/sports physiotherapy.

His research interests span clinical reasoning, exercise rehabilitation, and injury prevention in sports contexts, with specific focus on running biomechanics, football injuries, and disability sport. He has extensive clinical experience including roles with Adelaide United FC and Football Australia National Teams Unit (Pararoos/Joeys). Current responsibilities include teaching topics like Musculoskeletal Practice, Complex Case Management, and Clinical Practicum at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Professional engagements include membership in multiple organizations: Australian Physiotherapy Association, Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy Australia, Australian College of Physiotherapists, Sports Medicine Australia, and South Australian Sports Medicine Association (where he serves on the advisory board).
