Massimo Ciavolella is a Professor and holds the Franklin D. Murphy Chair in Italian Renaissance Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in the Department of European Languages & Transcultural Studies. He is affiliated with UCLA's Royce Hall office and has a background in classical, medieval, and Renaissance studies from the Universities of Bologna, Rome, and British Columbia.
