معرفی
Massimo Capone is Professor of Theoretical Condensed Matter Theory at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy, where he leads the Strongly Correlated Systems research group.
His research centers on emergent quantum phenomena in strongly correlated many-body systems, with pioneering contributions to superconductivity (cuprates, iron-based materials, fullerides) and Mott physics. He investigates how electronic correlations generate novel states near insulating transitions and applies these principles to quantum materials design, cold atoms, and synthetic matter platforms.

- ERC Starting Grant
Professor Capone has supervised over 10 PhD students and 10+ postdocs while securing sustained funding through competitive grants. His PRIN project leadership and ERC award demonstrate robust research infrastructure supporting theoretical investigations into quantum emergence.
The Strongly Correlated Systems lab provides a dynamic environment for developing computational and analytical frameworks to predict and explain exotic quantum behavior in condensed matter systems.
