Masoud Yusefi

Masoud Yusefi is currently a doctoral student at the Institute of Biomechanics, Graz University of Technology, Austria, under the supervision of Professors Gerhard A. Holzapfel and Gerhard Sommer. He previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Biomechanics laboratory and CAST laboratory at the University of Tehran, Iran, and as a Mechanical Engineer at FPSCO company.

His research focuses on the mechanical characterization of soft tissues, integrating artificial intelligence for analysis. He has designed biomedical devices, including an equibiaxial tensile testing machine, saline bath systems, and microindentation tools. His work spans applications in robotics, mechatronics, and clinical biomechanics.

Masoud has authored one peer-reviewed article in Acta Biomaterialia (2025), investigating TEVAR versus open surgical approaches in aortic arch replacement. His research trends highlight interdisciplinary innovation in biomechanical testing and AI-driven modeling.

He has participated in laboratory teams such as the Biomechanics laboratory at the University of Tehran and Graz University of Technology’s Institute of Biomechanics, contributing to scaffold implantation studies, tissue elastography, and device prototyping.
