Mascha Dabić

Mascha Dabić is Senior Lecturer at University of Vienna's Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies, specializing in Russian-German interpreting and literary translation. Her research examines interpreting in psychotherapy contexts for asylum seekers. As Spring 2024 Max Kade Writer-in-Residence at Georgetown University, she taught migration narratives.

Literary translations include works by Barbi Marković and Dragan Velikić. Her novel 'Reibungsverluste' explores refugee psychology through an interpreter's perspective, earning nominations for the Franz-Tumler-Literature Prize and Austrian Bookprize.
