Masami Nakao is a Professor and Professor Emeritus at the Center for Global Education, The University of Tokyo, specializing in postcolonial literatures of English-speaking regions. Previously, he served as Professor at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (2010–2022). His research examines poetry from Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand through postcolonial and bilingual frameworks, exploring themes of cultural identity, colonialism, and modernity.
