María Fernanda Gómez Rivera serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Spanish at Boğaziçi University, where she has taught since 2006. With extensive experience across Spain, the United States, and Turkey, she specializes in Spanish language pedagogy and curriculum development.

Research Focus: Her work centers on Second Language Teaching methodologies, particularly ICT integration for dynamic curriculum design. She investigates formative assessment techniques to enhance instructional feedback and promotes learner autonomy through student-centered frameworks. Current projects explore flipped classroom models and Moodle-based language instruction.
Professional Engagement: An active DELE examiner for all proficiency levels, she collaborates with the Cervantes Institute and publishers Edinumen/ELI. She regularly presents at international forums including the Eli Iber Modern Languages Teaching Conference and Cervantes Institute’s Seminario Permanente in New Delhi.
