María Cruz Díaz de Terán Velasco is a Spanish jurist born in 1977 in Alcoy, Spain. She earned her PhD in Law from the University of Navarra in 2002 with the thesis Law and new eugenics: a study from the law 35/88 of assisted reproduction techniques, supervised by Dr. Angela Aparisi Miralles. Currently serving as a Full Professor of "Theory and Philosophy of Law" at the Faculty of Law, University of Navarra, she also holds visiting professorships in Italy, Latin America, and the United States.

Her research focuses on human rights, women's studies, biolegal aspects, public role of religion, and law-justice relations, with particular emphasis on bioethics and intercultural legal theory. Her work has been supported by the Government of Navarra through a scholarship during her academic development at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2011.
As a pioneer in legal education innovations, she has implemented clicker technology for classroom engagement and developed cross-cutting competencies in legal problem analysis. Since 2020, she coordinates RedWinn, a project strengthening women's impact in innovation ecosystems under the Ibero-American Science and Technology for Development Program (CYTED Program).
