María Ares Blanco

María Ares Blanco is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Hispanic and Classical Philology within the College of Philosophy and Letters at the University of León. Her research focuses on General Linguistics, with a specialization in Spanish language structures and didactic approaches for language learners.

• Doctoral thesis: Usos modales del imperfecto de indicativo estudio de la construcción condicional "si cantara/se, cantaba". Propuesta didáctica para aprendientes de ELE sinohablantes en contexto de inmersión (2025, University of León).

Her work bridges linguistic analysis with pedagogical strategies for Chinese-speaking students in immersive Spanish learning environments. Supervised by Dr. Milka Villayandre Llamazares and Dr. Francisco Javier Grande Alija, her research highlights the intersection of grammatical theory and language education.
