معرفی
Marzia Bisi is an Associate Professor in Mathematical Physics at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences, University of Parma (Italy). Her research spans kinetic theory, non-conservative phenomena, and mathematical modeling in socio-economic sciences. She has coordinated national and international research projects and serves as a visiting scholar at institutions like the Isaac Newton Institute.
- PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Sciences and Informatics (University of Milan, 2005)
- Research fellowship at CMLA, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (2005)
Her research focuses on kinetic models for: rarefied gases, chemically reacting mixtures, polyatomic particles, granular media, and socio-economic systems. Recent work includes chemotaxis models for Multiple Sclerosis and infection spread dynamics.
Publications highlight trends in multiscale modeling (kinetic equations to macroscopic PDEs), non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, and applied mathematical physics. Key projects involve circular economy modeling (PRIN 2022PSMT7) and continuum mechanics singular limits (PRIN 2017YBKNCE).
- Scientific Awards:
- Guido Fubini Prize (2015)
- FFABR Grant for Associate Professors (2017)
She teaches Mathematical Physics (graduate) and Mathematics (undergraduate for Biology and Chemistry). Office hours require prior email appointment. Contact: marzia.bisi@unipr.it, Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences, Parma, Italy.
