Maryam Hosseini is a Research Fellow at the Thrombosis Research Center within the Department of Clinical Medicine at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. She is based in Tromsø and actively involved in research focused on thrombosis and venous thromboembolism (VTE).
Research Interests:
- Investigating hypoxia-dependent proteins in relation to VTE
- Identifying biomarkers for predicting thrombosis risk
- Plasma proteomics in cardiovascular diseases
Scientific Contributions:
- Co-authored a 2025 study in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis linking plasma osteopontin levels to future VTE risk using data from the Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT).
