Maryam Goudarzi

Maryam Goudarzi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Michigan State University (MSU), where she also serves as Director of the Metabolomics Core in the RTSF (Research Technology Support Facility). She previously held roles as Associate Director of Bioanalytical Chemistry at Charles River Labs, Project Scientist at Cleveland Clinic Foundation Lerner Research Institute (CCF-LRI), and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Cleveland Clinic College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

Her research focuses on metabolomics, mass spectrometry, and gut microbiome analysis, emphasizing high-confidence compound identification, data analysis, and standardization of metabolomics workflows. Her leadership in establishing the Metabolomics Core at CCF-LRI supported 190 labs and over $300 million in research funding.
