Dr. MaryJo Burchard is a leadership development expert and part-time higher education faculty member specializing in trauma-informed practices, change readiness, and organizational trust. Affiliated with Fresno Pacific University, she leverages over 25 years of cross-sector experience spanning K-12 education, corporate training, and nonprofit leadership to address workplace disruption and recovery.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, an MA in Leadership and Organizational Studies with concentrations in Peacemaking and Conflict Studies, and a BA in Management and Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University. Through Concord Consulting, she delivers data-driven assessments and interventions for trust, belonging, and change readiness across government, healthcare, corporate, and educational sectors.
Dr. Burchard's research focuses on leader compassion, trauma-informed leadership systems, and workplace belonging, informed by her personal journey supporting her son through medical challenges. Her work bridges educational trauma recovery with organizational resilience, emphasizing self-compassion and curiosity as foundational human needs. While her publications span journals like the Journal of Biblical Perspectives on Leadership, her 2021 picture book I Can Be an Instrument of Peace demonstrates her commitment to translating complex concepts into accessible formats.
