Mary Stuckey is a Sparks Professor in Communication Arts and Sciences at Pennsylvania State University's College of Liberal Arts. She is an established scholar in political rhetoric, presidential rhetoric, political communication, and American Indian politics. With 12 books and approximately 80 essays and book chapters, her academic contributions are significant.

She has served as editor of the Southern Communication Journal, book review editor for Rhetoric and Public Affairs, and currently co-edits Peter Lang’s series The Frontiers of Political Communication with Mitchell McKinney.
