Dr. Mary Robertson is a Lecturer in Business Transitions and Sustainability at Queen Mary University of London's School of Business and Management. Her research focuses on critical political economy, particularly housing finance, climate change, and Green New Deals. She holds a PhD and MSc in Economics from SOAS University, an MA in Philosophy and Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a BA in PPE from the University of Oxford.
Her policy career includes roles as Head of Economic Policy for the Labour Party (2016–20) and Senior Policy Officer at the Trades Union Congress. She advises on PhDs in housing policy, financialisation, and transformative economic policies.
