Mary Niles is a Full-Time Professor at the University of San Francisco in the Department of Biology within the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on the regulated development of B-lymphocytes and the molecular events governing antibody assembly, transport, and secretion.
- Education:
- BS, San Francisco State University (1985)
- PhD, University of California, Berkeley (1992)
As a molecular immunologist, her work explores the cellular mechanisms critical to adaptive immunity, particularly how antibodies are processed and secreted by B cells. This research bridges immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology.
Maintaining a full-time academic role, she is based in Harney Science Center 259 and can be reached at niles@usfca.edu or (415) 422-2354.
