Mary Nickel is an Instructor of Philosophy at the University of South Carolina, part of the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Princeton University (2023). Her research integrates religious ethics and political philosophy, focusing on pregnancy, motherhood, collective agency, and social justice. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Virginia (2023) and taught at Princeton University and the University of Virginia.
