Mary Kate Kasler

Mary Kate Kasler is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Nursing department at St. Francis College. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Her expertise lies in oncology nursing and medical surgical nursing, with a focus on immune checkpoint blockade therapies and their adverse effects on patient management.

In her clinical role, Dr. Kasler serves as a nurse practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering, specializing in the complex medical management of oncologic patients. She transitioned to a full-time role at SFC in 2020 as Clinical Coordinator, emphasizing student professional development through evidence-based practice. Her research and clinical work align with her commitment to advancing patient care in oncology settings.

Dr. Kasler has contributed to significant institutional grants, including a $1.2 million award from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation in 2024. She actively mentors students and oversees academic success initiatives within the Nursing program.
