Mary J. Njoku

Mary J. Njoku is a Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She has been an Endowed Matjasko Professor since 2010 and serves as the ACGME Designated Institutional Official at the University of Maryland Medical Center since 2012.

• Educational Background: B.A. in Chemistry (University of Dallas, Texas); MD (Meharry Medical College, Tennessee); Residencies in Internal Medicine (Sinai Hospital, 1985-1988) and Anesthesiology (Cleveland Clinic, 1988-1992); Fellowship in Critical Care (Cleveland Clinic).
