Mary Hovsepian is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at Duke University, affiliated with the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (2004). Her academic career includes various visiting roles before her current position since 2020.
Her research focuses on Middle Eastern sociopolitical issues, particularly Palestinian-Israeli dynamics, labor studies, and gender analysis. Notable works examine the Intifada’s sociocultural impacts, Palestinian labor under occupation, and transnational economic systems.
