Mary Gulley is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Assistant Dean of Student Success at Centre College, where she also serves as the Classroom Accommodations Coordinator. She has been a faculty member since 2004 and contributes significantly to both academic instruction and student support services.
Her research centers on social psychology and interpersonal communication, with a particular focus on social and personality development across the lifespan. Her scholarly work explores how individuals grow and interact throughout different stages of life, contributing to broader understanding in developmental and social psychological domains.
Gulley's work has been published in prominent journals such as the Journal of Social Issues, the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, and publications associated with the International Society for the Study of Personal Relationships. These outlets reflect her engagement with interpersonal dynamics and developmental processes in social contexts.
She holds a BA in biological sciences and psychology from Transylvania University, and both her MA and PhD in experimental psychology were completed at the University of Louisville. Her academic training provides a strong foundation for her interdisciplinary approach to psychological research and education.
In addition to her teaching and research, Mary Gulley plays a key administrative role in enhancing student success and accessibility through her leadership in accommodations and academic support within the Centre Learning Commons under Academic Affairs.
