Mary Catherine Osman is a researcher and industrial doctoral student at Linköping University's Division of Logistics and Quality Management (LOGQ), collaborating with the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI). Her work focuses on transitioning freight logistics to fossil-free fuels, particularly biomethane derived from organic waste. Funded by Triple F, her research examines stakeholder roles, network dynamics, and policy frameworks enabling sustainable transport systems.
Education includes a Master's in Service Management (Lund University), dual Bachelor's degrees in Marketing and French (Mississippi State University), and guest research at Heriot-Watt University. She also contributes to teaching logistics courses at LiU.
Research interests span circular economy, e-commerce logistics, and climate-smart transport. Her licentiate thesis (2023) highlighted symbiotic relationships in green logistics networks and the importance of perceived support for sustainability transitions.
Recipient of the 2023 ICHCA Award for her contributions to freight transport research, Mary's work bridges academia and industry to address global climate goals through innovative logistics solutions.
