Mary C. Francis is an Associate Professor and Director of the Acute Care (AGACNP) Program at Widener University. She holds a PhD and works full-time at Widener while serving part-time as a trauma nurse practitioner at Cooper University Hospital. Her research focuses on gun violence, particularly the psychological and social impacts on victims, informed by a narrative inquiry dissertation on the lived experiences of gun violence victims.
Education: MSN from the University of Pennsylvania (1992). Additional acute care NP training at UPenn in 2002.
Research: Explores trauma care, public health implications of gun violence, and patient-centered approaches. Her work bridges clinical practice and community health policy.
