Mary Bricker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Cultures, and International Studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale's College of Liberal Arts. She serves as German Advisor and German Section Head.
- Specializes in Jewish Studies and German literature (18th-20th century)
- Teaches Holocaust literature, Business German, Germanic/Norse mythology, and Brothers Grimm fairy tales
- Research focuses include children's/YA literature, G.E. Lessing, M.M. Bakhtin theory, and exile literature
