Mary A. Hart serves as Associate Professor and Program Director for the online Master of Science in Health Administration (MHA) program at Regis College's Department of Health Administration. She joined Regis in 2005 and spearheaded the development of the graduate health administration program launched in 2009.
Her expertise centers on health policy formulation, government relations for healthcare organizations, and public health administration, with documented contributions to discussions on social determinants of health and healthcare reform. Through her consultancy Hart Government Relations, she develops strategic advocacy frameworks for nonprofit health entities addressing systemic challenges like Boston's Mass and Cass crisis.
As Program Director, she oversees the MHA curriculum and advises graduate students while maintaining active board roles with Cambridge Health Alliance and Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Her prior state government leadership—including Director of the Office of Health Policy for Massachusetts EOHHS and Assistant Commissioner for Community Health—provides foundational context for her academic work in healthcare system navigation and policy implementation.
