Martín Farach-Colton

Martín Farach-Colton is the Leonard J. Shustek Professor of Computer Science and Chair of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at NYU Tandon. His work addresses theoretical and practical challenges in data structures for storage systems.

He leads the Algorithms and Foundations Group, focusing on streaming algorithms, graph optimization, and efficient large-scale data management. His research solved the decades-old 'list-labeling' problem, improving database indexing.
