Martinna Bertolini is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she investigates oral biofilms and host-microbiome interactions in dental implant-related infections. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, she maintains dual expertise in Prosthodontics (Brazil) and Periodontics (University of Connecticut, US). Her collaborations extend to the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology in the university’s Department of Medicine, reflecting interdisciplinary research in oral mucosal immunology.
