Prof. Martine Maan is a Professor and Rosalind Franklin Fellow at the University of Groningen's Groningen Institute for Evolutionary Life Sciences. Her research investigates evolutionary processes in cichlid fish systems, sensory ecology, and speciation mechanisms.
Research integrates field studies of African cichlid populations with molecular approaches to understand sensory adaptation, host-parasite coevolution, and visual system evolution.
