Martin Vlach is an Associate Professor at the General Physics Teaching Department, Faculty of Physics, Charles University. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and has contributed extensively to experimental physics, phase transformations in alloys, and materials science.
Education:
- Mgr. (2004) and Ph.D. (2009) from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University
- RNDr. (2006) from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University
His research focuses on precipitation processes in Mg/Al-based alloys, hydrogen-induced lattice defects, and mechanical properties of metals, using techniques like electrical resistometry and differential scanning calorimetry. He has also contributed to physics education and public outreach, including collaborations with Czech Television and cultural heritage projects.
