Martin Skambraks

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Skambraks is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Südwestfalen. He holds a doctorate in Information Technology from FernUniversität in Hagen and has extensive experience in measurement, control, and automation technologies, embedded systems, and safety-critical system design.

• Studied "Physikalische Technik" at Märkische Fachhochschule (now FH Südwestfalen) and Electrical Engineering at FernUniversität in Hagen
• Developed novel architectures for real-time computing systems meeting IEC 61508 safety standards
• Contributed to industrial image processing software at National Instruments and IMEC
• Supervised diploma theses in "Embedded Systems" and "Configurable Logic"
