Martin Schechter

Martin Schechter serves as Professor at the School of Population and Public Health and Co-Director of the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health at the University of British Columbia, demonstrating leadership in academic and Indigenous health initiatives.

His research focuses on advancing Indigenous health equity through population-level interventions, with expertise spanning public health systems, community-engaged research, and health policy development for marginalized populations. This work emphasizes culturally safe approaches and decolonizing methodologies in health scholarship.
