Martin Pearce

Martin Pearce is an Associate Professor in the Department of Studio Art at the School of Fine Art and Music, University of Guelph. He teaches Drawing and Painting, with a focus on exploring the interplay between representational imagery and process-oriented documentation. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally over nearly three decades.

Research interests center on the conceptual and material boundaries between drawing and painting, emphasizing how images function as both representations and records of artistic processes. His practice bridges theoretical and practical investigations in contemporary visual arts.
