Dr. Mohr has published extensively, including a monograph on sacred roads and numerous articles in prominent archaeological journals. His recent work shows a trend toward comparative studies, as evidenced by his 2024 article comparing sacred roads in Archaic Greece, the Chinese Qin and Han Empires, and the Archaic States of the Middle East. His research on Monte Iato continues to be a central focus, with annual excavation reports published in Antike Kunst.
Among his notable contributions are:
- His dissertation on 'The Sacred Road – A 'Middle Way'? Social Group Formation in the Field of Tension of the Archaic Polis' (2013)
- His research on the indigenous settlement of Monte Iato using ethnoarchaeometric approaches
- His work identifying potential gymnasion structures at Iaitas/Ietas
