His research centers on Medieval and Early Modern Italian literature, with a focus on the intersections between literature and medicine, the history of medicine, and narrative responses to epidemics. He explores how storytelling functions as both cultural expression and public health intervention in historical contexts. His work also engages with gender, language accessibility, and translation.
The recent publications and presentations reflect a strong thematic trend in medical humanities, particularly the role of narrative during plagues and the translation of historical medical texts. His work bridges literary scholarship with public health history, emphasizing storytelling as a tool for resilience, education, and empowerment.
