Martin Lücke is a Professor of History Didactics at the Department of History and Cultural Studies at Free University of Berlin. Since 2023, he has held the position of Universitätsprofessor (W3) for History Didactics, having previously served as a W2 professor from 2010-2023. From 2019-2024, he led the Margherita-von-Brentano Center for Gender Studies at FU Berlin. His office is located at Koserstr. 20, Room A.343, 14195 Berlin.
Lücke completed his doctorate on the history of male prostitution at Bielefeld University (2004-2007) following his teacher training studies in History and German at the same institution (1994-2002). His academic journey includes teaching history and German at Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium in Berlin (2007-2009) and working as a research assistant in History Didactics at Leipzig University (2006-2007).

Lücke leads the 'Queer History Lab' as part of the FU-verbund project 'K2Teach – Know how to teach' and coordinates the DFG research network 'Queere Zeitgeschichten im deutschsprachigen Europa.' His work frequently involves collaboration with museums, memorials, and educational institutions to develop inclusive historical narratives and teaching materials that address diverse perspectives in history.
