Martin Hendry

Professor Martin Hendry is a Professor of Gravitational Astrophysics and Cosmology and Head of the SUPA School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Glasgow. He joined the university in 1998 and has been a leading figure in gravitational wave research, particularly through his involvement in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, which detected the first gravitational waves in 2016. His research focuses on gravitational wave astrophysics, cosmology, and public engagement in science.
