Dr. Martin Gutmann is a historian, author, and academic lecturer affiliated with the University of Lucerne (Lucerne School of Business) and ETH Zurich (Department of Management, Technology and Economics). He concurrently serves as a partner at Align Coaching and Consulting. Previously, he founded and managed the ETH Swiss School of Public Governance (2014-2020) and held professorial roles at the American Graduate School of Business (Switzerland) and Quest University (Canada).
His research bridges historical context with contemporary themes, focusing on leadership dynamics, sustainability frameworks, international diplomatic relations, negotiation strategies, and socio-political evolution. Publications span academic journals like Journal of Contemporary History and mainstream media such as Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
