Martin Funda

Martin Funda is a Professor of Chamber Music and Violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart (HMDK) since 2018. He is renowned globally as the first violinist and founding member of the Armida Quartet, which won 1st Prize, the Audience Prize, and six special prizes at the 2012 ARD International Music Competition. His career spans solo performances, orchestral engagements (e.g., guest concertmaster roles with Deutsche Oper Berlin), and pedagogy. He previously taught at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimar.
