Martin Ester is a Professor of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada. He holds a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich (1990) and a Diplom from the University of Dortmund (1984). His research focuses on Data Mining, Machine Learning, Causal Discovery, and Biomedical Applications. He leads the Ester Lab, co-directs the Databases and Data Mining Laboratory, and is part of the Omics Data Science Research Cluster.
