معرفی
Prof. Martin Doppelbauer is a Professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), leading the Professorship for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT). His research focuses on hybrid and electric vehicle technology, electromagnetic design, and thermal management of electric drives. He serves as Dean of Studies for Mechatronics and teaches courses on electromagnetic fields, electric drives, and hybrid vehicle systems.
Research interests include electromechanical systems design, high-speed motor technologies, and sustainable energy systems integration. Key projects involve optimizing traction motor cooling, developing novel winding configurations (e.g., hairpin windings), and advancing materials for electric vehicle components. The professorship, established in 2011, collaborates with industry on practical applications of hybrid/electric vehicle technologies.
His publications emphasize thermal analysis, drive train efficiency, and motor design innovations. Current works address challenges in energy storage, charging systems, and lifecycle assessments of electric mobility solutions. The research group is based at KIT’s Electrical Engineering Institute (ETI) with facilities on both South and East campuses.
