Her research explores New England's visual and material culture from European contact to the 20th century, focusing on how objects communicate meaning in contexts like legal professionalization, domestic attachments, and social transformations. Current projects include two book manuscripts: one on folk artist Pedro Tovookan Parris and another analyzing New England landscape representation.
